Recently got into Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett so I thought I’d cover one of my favourite Barrett songs. I Please give feedback….

“Interstellar Overdrive” is a psychedelic composition by Pink Floyd, which appears on their 1967 debut album ‘The Piper at the Gates of Dawn’………. this is not that version. And it is not the recording that can be heard on the soundtrack to the film Tonight Let’s All Make Love in London (which was released in the same year). This is from 10/31/66….

Spies Who Surf New Years Eve 1989 in their hometown of Chicago banging out a Syd Barrett song from Piper At The Gates of Dawn, Pink Floyd’s first album. Monster drumming from David Sycott who later went on to join Stabbing Westward….

While visiting London on our Honeymoon, we decided to take a little tour of Syd Barrett landmarks and even took a train to Cambridge. Some people have asked about the song…..its not Syd, but something very Syd inspired that I wrote years ago….
