Brit Floyd Melkweg Amsterdam, The Netherlands November 11th 2011 Featured song in this vid: ‘Pigs (Three Different Ones)’ This is the video recording I did of Brit Floyd’s show in Melkweg in Amsterdam. I was looking forward to this as I saw Aussie Floyd last year and was impressed. They ofcourse split and this is roughly the half of the former Aussie Floyd. They did not sell out the venue even though it was smaller, but it did fill out pretty nicely. Being in a smaller venue, there are no inflatable pigs, lasers or arch-shaped lighting rig. They made do with a big projection screen and a nice lighting show. The music was up to scratch I thought, I enjoyed it very much. Personal highlights for me were Echoes (first time I heard it live), Pigs and Great Gig ofcourse. I love Ola’s vocals on that song. I recorded the whole show. Even though I was able to get right up front, it would have been too close. So I chose to sit a little towards the back. This may make some close-ups a bit shaky, but I think it’s not too bad. Because I don’t have the right anymore to upload longer then 15 minutes I will upload the songs 1 by 1. I will make a playlist when it’s done so you can watch the concert as a whole. I recorded this with a Panasonic TZ7 (video and audio). Since it’s a photocamera it can only record 15 minutes max at a time, so I had to make two cuts on songs longer then 15 minutes, those are Shine On (+intro) and Echoes. I hope you will enjoy it as much I did. Big thanks to Brit …… |
