The Dark Side of the Moon (titled Dark Side of the Moon in the CD of 1993), in Italian “The Dark Side of the Moon” is a concept album (eighth studio) of the British band Pink Floyd, released March 17, 1973 in the United States by Capitol Records on March 24 of that year in the United Kingdom by Harvest Records. [3] The work came after numerous musical experimentation that Pink Floyd studied during their live or recorded, but without the long instrumental sections that had become a defining characteristic of the group after leaving in 1968 by Syd Barrett, founding member and main composer and lyricist of the group.
