“The Gold It’s in the…” is a song from Pink Floyd’s 1972 album, Obscured by Clouds. It was recorded at Castle Hérouville near Pontoise, France in 1972. This is the fourth track on the album, which tells the story of a traveler looking for excitement, “They say there’s gold and I’m looking for thrills”. The song is noted for it’s “rock and roll” sound, rather than the progressive rock style that the band is known for.
