Berlin, una ciudad cosmopolita y de gran monopolio comercial, tambien era la capital del Tercer Reich Adolf Hitler. Berlin en Mayo de 1945 fue tomada por los Aliados, por lo que en esa fecha Alemania y la capital fue posesionada en 4 zonas como la de la URSS, EEUU, Inglaterra y Francia. A partir de 1948, los rusos se posesionaron de Berlin Oriental sin dejar pasar a nadie hacia el occidente, un año despues se forma Berlin Occidental aprobado por la OTAN y Berlin Oriental, con la politica de “tirar a matar”, los soldados rusos no dejaban pasar a los alemanes de la frontera oriental a la occidental. Finalmente el 13 de Agosto de 1961 la alambrada del Muro de Berlin es construida por lo que se extendio por mas de 900 kms por Berlin Occidental. Un cuarto de siglo despues con las reformas de Mijail Gorgachov, el muro de Berlin comenzaba a caer a partir del 9 de noviembre de 1989….

David Jon Gilmour (born 6 March 1946) Gilmour was approached in late December 1967 by drummer Nick Mason, who asked if he would be interested in joining Pink Floyd, which he did in January 1968, making Pink Floyd briefly a five-piece band. He filled in for Syd Barrett’s guitar parts when the frontman was unable to take a consistent part in Floyd’s live performances. Syd Barrett “left” the group due to his erratic behaviour??”commonly believed to have been caused by excessive use of LSD??”when the band chose not to pick Barrett up one night for a gig; and Gilmour by default assumed the role of the band’s lead guitarist. He took over most of the band’s lead vocal duties with bassist Roger Waters and keyboard player Richard Wright also occasionally singing in Barrett’s stead…
