In 1993 a couple (?) of pink floyd enthusiasts got together to create their own floyd video tribute with they entitled: pink floyd, “a saucerful” of videos (for floydians only). What we have is a collection of very abtract videos – some b grade sci-fi, some clay animation,some documentaries about space exploration etc – set to the music of early pink floyd. Selections from ummagumma and meddle make up the bulk of the films soundtrack. Thanks to mr. rosenberg (who was given a copy by the creator) we are able to offer this fine film back to the floyd community – 11 – 12 years after it’s inception – in digital format. So, grab a glass (?) of your favorite posion, sit back, relax, hit your remote control play button, and prepare to be taken on an amazing journey! The music video for the track was made, featuring a live recording and concert footage filmed during the band’s three night run at The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia in November 1987 directed by Lawrence Jordan (who has directed concert films for Rush, Mariah Carey and Billy Joel). Promotional videos for “The Dogs of War” and “One Slip” were also used from footage of this concert. The video made it to number nine on MTV’s Video Countdown in January 1988.
