“signs of life” – guitar cover

\

*Guitarist’s Note: The opening instrumental of the album, the first instrumental since “Any Colour You Like” from The Dark SIde Of The Moon. A drastic difference between Gilmour’s songwriting and Waters’ songwriting. Album: A Momentary Lapse Of Reason Year: 1987 Writer: Gilmour, Ezrin Vocals: Instrumental (Spoken words by Nick Mason) My Rating: 5 out of 10…

“the dogs of war” – guitar cover

\

*Guitarist’s Note: A song about tyrannical politicians upsest with war and greed (sinilar to the Animals concept). Kind of like Ronald Reagan and the contra scandal. Album: A Momentary Lapse Of Reason Year: 1987 Writer: Gilmour, Moore Vocals: Gilmour My Rating: 6 out of 10…

“poles apart” – guitar cover

\

*Guitarist’s Note: They say the first verse in this song is about the late Syd Barrett, and the second is of Roger Waters. Nevermind the spooky imagery in the middle. Album: The Division Bell Year: 1994 Writer: Gilmour, Samson, Laird-Clowes Vocals: Gilmour My Rating: 6 out of 10…

Pink floyd signs of life full cover

Pink floyd signs of life full cover

Always loved that instrumental song since i heard it first on the delicate sound of thunder VHS Tape back in 1993. Background “SynthOrgan” is played with a very “crappy second hand Casio Childrenkeyboard” which is running through my old Boss Gt 6 Processor for some “additional atmospheric effects”,because i have no real synthesizer at the moment, unfortunately. On the Guitar side i added Comp, Whammy Wh-4, Chorus, 2 or 3 Delays, Reverb ( cant remember exactly all settings and Pedals, cause i recorded it some weeks ago…..) As always thanks goes to Pink Floyd and all people involved there, which brought their music to me and the world………….

“sorrow” – guitar cover

\

*Guitarist’s Note: One of the most exhausting videos I ever had to make. I think I did an okay job on it, could be better but it could be worse. I don’t have a Big Muff but I used a Boss DS-1 and CE-5 for the intro. Finally done with “Lapse” and the 80′s Floyd! I’m coming close to the end… Album: A Momentary Lapse Of Reason Year: 1987 Writer: Gilmour Vocals: Gilmour My Rating: 8 out of 10…

“on the turning away” – guitar cover

\

*Guitarist’s Note: A song about how people tend to turn away from the suffering and poverty of the world, a very lighthearted and hopeful concept for Floyd’s catalogue. One of Pink Floyd’s gems in the 80′s. Album: A Momentary Lapse Of Reason Year: 1987 Writer: Gilmour, Moore Vocals: Gilmour My Rating: 7 out of 10…

“terminal frost” – guitar cover

\

“Guitarist’s Note: I don’t know why, but I really like this song. I guess I just love instrumentals, they focus more on the music. Also I didn’t bother with “A New Machine” since there aren’t any guitars in it. Album: A Momentary Lapse Of Reason Year: 1987 Writer: Gilmour Vocals: Instrumental My Rating: 6 out of 10…
