The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by English progressive rock band Pink Floyd, released in March 1973. It built on ideas explored in the band’s earlier recordings and live shows, but lacks the extended instrumental excursions that characterised their work following the departure in 1968 of founder member, principal composer and lyricist, Syd Barrett. The Dark Side of the Moon’s themes include conflict, greed, the passage of time and mental illness, the latter partly inspired by Barrett’s deteriorating mental state…. |

“Mother Floyd” is a Pink Floyd Tribute Coverband from Germany. On May 31st after only 5 full member rehearsals our newly named band “Mother Floyd” played a 1 hour public rehearsal at the Schlosskeller Windecken in Nidderau, Germany. The 1 hour session was free and we were excited to have such a large crowd fill the Schlosskeller. The light-show was realized by 24x Involight MH-200, 2x GLP Junior Scan 2 and controlled by a Chamsys PC Maxi Wing and a Elo Touch 17″. The light-show was not preprogrammed and done freestyle by our lighting and effects tech Richard Bendit. The band was formed on May 4th 2011 with the lineup being completed in February 2012. Mother Floyd meets once a month in the Schlosskeller Windecken for rehearsal. The Band: Peter Göckel – Guitar Daniel Heinz – Guitar Michael Bendit – Drums Haddi Kritzler – Bass Jo Briegel – Keyboads, Saxophone John McIntosh – Vocals Carmen Helbig – Vocals Ute Lichtenberger – Vocals Richard Bendit – Lighting & Effects More Infos: Infos of Schlosskeller Windecken Video created by John McIntosh… |

Copyright: Pink Floyd. A personal instrumental version by an absolute beginner. This song, it may sound repetitive, but it gets so deep inside of you, yes, it is very simple, but so pleasant to play and listen, this is a marvellous piece of music by the masters. Guitar: Art & Lutherie Cedar Black Dreadnought. Sorry about my mistakes, it is hard to imitate the true kings…. |
