Astronomy Domine (Album ummagumma studio live 1969) inizia col caratteristico tintinnare dell’organo di Wright, impostato con la ripetizione di percussione e filtrato attraverso un Binson Echorec. A ruota, uno alla volta, entrano gli altri con i loro strumenti, e il viaggio attraverso i pianeti ha inizio. Batteria e basso pulsano, mentre Gilmour qui imbraccia con la giusta potenza la Telecaster. Una pausa si ha durante l’assolo modale di organo di Wright, in cui ci si ritrova in compagnia unicamente di un filo di organo trattato che ci tiene sospesi, per poi riprendere la marcia fino alla singhiozzante fine con le voci di Gilmour, Waters e Wright…. |
