learning to fly PINK FLOYD!!! Lyrics: Into the distance, a ribbon of black Stretched to the point of no turning back A flight of fancy on a windswept field Standing alone my senses reel A fatal attraction is holding me fast How can I escape this irresistible grasp? Can’t keep my eyes from the circling sky Tongue-tied and twisted just an earthbound misfit, I Ice is forming on the tips of my wings Unheeded warnings, I thought I thought of everything No navigator to find my way home Unladen, empty and turned to stone A soul in tension, that’s learning to fly Condition grounded but determined to try Can’t keep my eyes from the circling skies Tongue-tied and twisted just an earthbound misfit, I Above the planet on a wing and a prayer, My grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air Across the clouds I see my shadow fly Out of the corner of my watering eye A dream unthreatened by the morning light Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night There’s no sensation to compare with this Suspended animation, a state of bliss Can’t keep my mind from the circling skies Tongue-tied and twisted just an earthbound misfit, I…. |

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, Blue skies from pain. Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? And did they get you to trade Your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange A walk on part in the war For a lead role in a cage? How I wish, how I wish you were here. We’re just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here…. |

Written and played by Voodoo Child Words: What you do not care? you really do not want to come back to me? beautiful eyes that starve my heart, bright smile that dazzles my mind, is never late for love.. the final destination, you and me, I want it. And my best time I’ve lived with you, now I’m balancing on a thread of hope, let me not sink more and more, I do not want to feel the emptiness inside me, gimme the little heart that you’ve taken away…. |
