Okay it’s me again playing all instruments, bass, guitar and keyboards etc. This time I have covered Pink Floyd’s “On the Turning Away”. My rendition stems from the live version….

A cover of Pink Floyds Breathe by The Delicate Sound of Floyd. We done this a long time back but I posted anyway as its quite nice. John laid down the drums, first take without any instruments playing. When we played it back against the original the tempo was spot on. The rest was done in my lounge using Cubase SX. Great vocals by Andy and John. Let us know what you think….

Come vorrei, come vorrei che fossi qui, Siamo solo due anime sperdute Che nuotano in una boccia di pesci !!! ************************************************************************************ Descrizione breve : Wish You Were Here è il nono album in studio del gruppo progressive rock inglese Pink Floyd, pubblicato nel settembre 1975. Ispirato dal materiale che questi composero durante le loro esibizioni in tutta Europa, fu registrato in numerose sessioni agli Abbey Road Studios di Londra. L’album esplora i temi dell’assenza, dell’industria musicale e del declino mentale dell’ex membro della band Syd Barrett. Le sessioni iniziali furono un processo difficile e faticoso, ma il bassista Roger Waters ebbe l’idea di dividere la suite “Shine on You Crazy Diamond”in due, per poi unire ogni metà con tre nuove composizioni. “Shine On” è un tributo a Syd Barrett, che, ironia della sorte, si presentò negli studi di registrazione il 5 giugno 1975, proprio mentre la stavano registrando. La band all’inizio non riuscì a riconoscere l’ex chitarrista, che aveva guadagnato peso e cambiato aspetto. Curiosità : Una raffigurazione stilizzata della copertina di Wish You Were Here (due uomini che si stringono la mano in mezzo allo slargo di una fabbrica, mentre uno di essi va a fuoco), compare sulla copertina dell’album Ok Computer dei Radiohead (probabilmente perché i due album parlano della stessa tematica) e nel video di Lonely Day dei System of a Down.
