Hi folks! I thought I’d do something a little different than the typical full orchestra arrangements that you all know me for. I have always had an appreciation and respect for Pink Floyd. I also used to listen to them religiously back in my high school days. I have always liked their sound because it is not the typical sound one is used to hearing from a rock band of that era. Pink Floyd is the only band I know of that really challenged the ‘status quo’ of how rock bands normally sound. In many ways, it’s hard for me to classify their music as only ‘rock’ because there are so many other genres that are heard throughout their songs. And NO ONE can make that guitar howl and wail the way David Gilmour does. Combine Gilmour’s musical genus with the poetically brilliant lyrics of Roger Waters, and you’ve got yourself one Top Selling Album after another. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my rendition of “On The Turning Away.” I know it’s different than what I normally do and I hope it doesn’t throw some of you off your guard. Oh, and let me know what you thought of the visual effects too. I’ve just been trying to play around in a new program that I recently got.
